A mural is a large painting or artwork drawn directly onto a wall or ceiling.

What is a Mural?

A **mural** is a very big picture painted right onto a wall! You might see murals on the side of a building, in a school, or even inside a house. They can tell stories or just be beautiful to look at.

Examples:

  • The whole class helped paint a colorful **mural** on the school wall.
  • We saw an amazing **mural** of a city skyline downtown.
  • The artist spent weeks creating the giant **mural** in the library.
