Services

Economics Grades 5-6

What are Services?

Services are actions or activities that one person performs for another. Unlike goods, you can't touch or hold a service, but they are still valuable and people pay for them.

Examples of Services:

  • When a doctor helps you feel better, that's a medical service.
  • A teacher teaching a class provides an educational service.
  • Getting your car washed is an example of a cleaning service.
